NAIAS is where the global automotive community comes together to showcase the latest information and products to the auto industry. At the auto show, Minister Clement test drove a new battery-powered Ford Focus, which was part of the Magna/Ford Electric Vehicle Alliance Demonstration.

The government is committed to encouraging cutting-edge research and development while rewarding innovation in the auto industry through programs such as the Automotive Innovation Fund.
