Minister Clement attended the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan, where leading-edge Canadian content was exhibited on a prestigious international scale.

Canada and the United States have been making vehicles together for more than 40 years, and Canada continues to be an important player in the North American auto industry.

NAIAS is where the global automotive community comes together to showcase the latest information and products to the auto industry. The government is committed to encouraging cutting-edge research and development in the auto industry and is proud that two of the North American Car and Truck of the Year Awards finalists are built in Canada.
