Advancing Market Access for Canadian and Mongolian Exporters through Standardization
January 2011—Building on the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2010, the Standards Council of Canada and the Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology recently met over three days to explore and prioritize standardization sectors of mutual interest and to agree on a framework for advancing their cooperation agreement. December 2011—If you know an outstanding educator who deserves national recognition, please consider submitting a nomination for the 2012 Prime Minister's Awards for Teaching Excellence.
Educators selected to receive the award will receive a certificate, a pin and a letter signed by the Prime Minister, along with a cash award of up to $5,000. The Recipients' schools are also honoured for their contribution to the educator's achievement.

December 2011—The Government of Canada's Networks of Centres of Excellence seeks to mobilize Canada's best research and development talent through programs such as the Centres of Excellence for Commercialization and Research Program. This program provides resources to small and medium-sized enterprises including connecting them with university researchers, with commercially viable innovations. Recently the program helped Wavefront, a not-for profit centre focusing on the commercialization of wireless companies in Canada. Read More
Ocean Technology Continues to Grow in Atlantic Canada
December 2011—The ocean technology sector continues to grow in Atlantic Canada, especially in the provinces of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.
