Technology Demonstration
Program (TDP)

The current call for applications under the Technology Demonstration Program is now closed. For information on recent announcements, please refer to our media page.

The Technology Demonstration Program (TDP) was launched in 2013. It provides non-repayable contributions to support one or more large scale projects per year. Projects supported by the program are expected to ensure a concentration of technology development in priority areas with significant potential for broad-based and long-term economic benefits. As well, projects funded through this program are expected to be the basis for the next generation of manufacturing, technical capabilities and services in Canada, and to generate material economic benefits for Canada in the longer term.

Strategic Aerospace and
Defence Initiative (SADI)

The Strategic Aerospace and Defence Initiative (SADI) program was launched in 2007. It provides repayable contributions to support innovative projects by aerospace, space, defence and security companies. The program encourages research and development leading to new or improved products, services and processes, contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Canadian companies in the aerospace and defence sector, and fosters collaboration between research institutes and the private sector.

Technology Partnerships
Canada (TPC)

Technology Partnerships Canada (TPC) was a special operating agency of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada with a mandate to provide funding for strategic research and development (R&D) projects that produced economic, social and environmental benefits to Canadians.

The program was geared to pre-competitive projects across a wide spectrum of technological development, including environmental technologies, life sciences, information and communications technologies and advanced manufacturing.
