Standards Calibration

Overview

Measurement Canada calibrates and certifies electricity, gas flow, gas pressure, fluid volume, mass (weight and length) and thermometry measurement standards. The laboratories calibrate local and reference standards used by Measurement Canada inspectors and Authorized Service Providers.

Certain calibration services can also be obtained from other sources recognized by Measurement Canada.

Traceability

All calibrations performed by Measurement Canada are traceable to the reference standards defined in, and required by, the Weights and Measures Act and the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act.
