Electricity
To maintain a fair and competitive marketplace, Measurement Canada conducted a review of the rules and practices governing the buying and selling of electricity products based on measurement. The review was completed in February 2002.
Purpose of the Review?
The goal of the review was to consult with those involved in the electricity products sector to determine:
- the requirements needed to ensure measurement accuracy;
- the measurement related programs needed and how these programs could be best provided; and
- how involved Measurement Canada needs to be in order to ensure measurement fairness and accuracy.
