Section 40 of the Electricity and Gas Inspection Regulations has been amended to prescribe a third method for establishing a supercompressibility factor. This method applies for low line pressures (less than or equal to 30 psig).

This amendment will establish a fair and equitable framework for all stakeholders.

The amendment to the Electricity and Gas Inspection Regulations also introduces additional contractor record-keeping provisions in subsection 11 (6.1) by establishing additional associated record-keeping requirements for suppliers.

The amendments to the Electricity and Gas Inspection Regulations were officially published on pages 337 to 442 of Part II of the Canada Gazette, volume 140, number 10 on May 17, 2006.

These new amendments will be integrated into the Electricity and Gas Inspection Regulations, which are available on the Justice Canada Web site.
