The role can be assigned to a different person at a later date or it can be assigned to someone temporarily. The ASP Manager's responsibilities include:

  • approving the organization's ORA user accounts.
  • notifying the Measurement Canada ORA Administrator when an ORA account requires modification, deactivation or reactivation.
  • entering or completing work orders on behalf of the recognized technicians working for the organization when required.

The ASP Manager must have an ORA account in order for the other employees in the organization to gain access to ORA; therefore, if the employees of an ASP will be attending different sessions, it is strongly recommended that the Manager attend the first of these sessions. The ASP Manager can be any employee of your organization, including management, a recognized technician or an ASP administrator.

  • The role "other" refers to a person employed by an ASP and who may have a role in examinations, but who will not use ORA.
Technician's status:

If the participant is a technician, indicate whether their current technician status is "recognized" or "pending". A technician whose status is "pending" is a person employed by an ASP who has begun, but not completed, the process to become a recognized technician and has been assigned a technician number by Measurement Canada.
