Additional Information Required for Software Controlled Gas Metering Devices

• S-EG-05–Specifications for the Approval of Software Controlled Electricity and Gas Metering Devices
• S-EG-06–Specifications Relating to Event Loggers for Electricity and Gas Metering Devices

1. 1) Are you seeking approval of the device with "traced update capability", i.e. with the ability to update legally relevant software of a device in service without triggering a reverification?

   Yes
   No

2. 2) Are you seeking approval of the device as a "configurable device", i.e. with the ability to modify legally relevant parameters of a device in service without triggering a reverification?

   Yes
   No

3. 3) Are you seeking approval of the device with the ability to update legally non-relevant software and/or parameters of a device in service without triggering a reverification, e.g. updating communication software?

   Yes
   No

If the answer to questions 1 and/or 2 is "Yes", then the device is subject to the requirements of S-EG-05–Specifications for the Approval of Software Controlled Electricity and Gas Metering Devices and S-EG-06–Specifications relating to Event Loggers for Electricity and Gas Metering Devices".

If the answer to question 3 is "Yes" then the device is subject to the requirements of S-EG-05–Specifications for the Approval of Software Controlled Electricity and Gas Metering Devices, in particular the requirement for logical or physical separation between the legally relevant and legally non-relevant software.

In all three of the above cases regardless if the response is "yes" or "no", please provide the information prescribed by section 11.2 of S-EG-05.
