Fabtech Welding Inc.
Fabtech Welding Inc. was established 20 years ago as a small fabrication facility in southwestern
Ontario. In November 2006, Fabtech was purchased by the current owners. When
purchased in 2006 Fabtech had 8 employees on its staff and leased a 12 000 square foot
facility in Ridgetown, Ontario. In June 2008, Fabtech purchased a two acre facility in Chatham,
Ontario, with a 10 000 square foot shop and a 4 000 square foot paint building. We currently
employ 22 shop employees, a plant manager, shop supervisor, detailer/drafter, office
administrator and the two owners doing sales/estimating/accounting. We hold a CWB W47.1
Division 2 Certification, and are currently working on renewing our ISO certification and becoming
certified with Z299. This is to be completed by July 2009. Our shop has three 5-ton overhead
cranes, 1/2 inch x 10 feet-0 inches shear, 230 CNC press break, a Hyde-Mech bandsaw, an 88-ton
multi-station iron worker, 25 welding units, jib cranes, two 12 000 pound yard fork trucks, and one
8 000 pound indoor forklift. We also have capabilities for maching, grinding and honing. In 2010
we are planning on adding two 8 000 square foot bays to our current facility and will have two
10-ton overhead cranes in each bay.
