Technical Standards and Safety Authority strives to make people's lives better by enhancing public safety. A full-service safety provider, we carry out a broad spectrum of tasks on behalf of governments, businesses and the general public. From safety inspections to engineering reviews, technical training and certification, to public education and outreach, our unique risk management and proactive partnership approach helps us improve public safety outcomes. Under our Boilers and Pressure Vessels safety program, we regulate all pressure-retaining components manufactured or used in Ontario. Our staff members inspect pressure equipment during the manufacturing process, and again after it has become operational.
