Industry Canada's Role

Industry Canada works to build and develop relationships with stakeholders throughout the nuclear industry to better understand their diverse needs and perspectives and contribute this understanding to government decision making. In cooperation with leading federal and provincial government departments, industry associations, and Canadian and international nuclear stakeholders, Industry Canada works to advance the commercial interests of Canada's nuclear industry at home and abroad. In particular, the Department is involved in initiatives that strategically position Canada's nuclear companies in global value chains to benefit from a resurgent global nuclear marketplace.
