A known text scam, claiming to be an e-transfer from the Office of Consumer Affairs (OCA), was reported. The OCA will never send you—or ask for—any sort of payment by telephone, email or text.
If you receive a scam email or text message, do not reply or click—delete it. Report it to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Reporting Centre.
