Will consumers benefit from enhanced product labeling on energy-efficient products?

The research will go beyond label awareness/recognition and examine consumers’ comprehension and use of existing energy labels as well as their information needs beyond what is found on these labels to aid in making informed choices on energy consuming products. Outcomes of this research will inform future consumer outreach and labeling efforts, and increase consumer satisfaction with, and uptake of, energy efficient products.
