  • Natural Resources Canada: The Energy Sector (NRCan)
    The Energy Sector of Natural Resources Canada is the lead on energy policy for the Government of Canada. Its goal is that Canadians benefit economically, environmentally and socially from the secure and sustainable production and use of Canada's energy resources.
  • Indian and Northern Affairs Canada: Northern Oil and Gas (INAC)
    INACworks in partnership with Northern and Aboriginal governments and people to; govern the allocation of Crown lands to the private sector for oil and gas exploration, develop the regulatory environment, set and collect royalties, and approve benefit plans before development takes place in a given area.
  • National Energy Board (NEB)
    The NEB regulates the international and interprovincial aspects of the oil, gas and electric utility industries. The purpose of the NEB is to promote safety and security, environmental protection, and efficient energy infrastructure and markets in the Canadian public interest within the mandate set by Parliament in the regulation of pipelines, energy development and trade.
