Philosophy of Care

Children are the inspiration for the program: team members are constantly watching and listening to children, and documenting their findings, to better support their learning.

Support of Child Development

  • Team members give children the freedom to discover, share and learn through play in a classroom that is set up to be stimulating and engaging.
  • Circle time is designed to incorporate all the senses. New themes are launched using music and movement.

Involvement with Parents, Families and the Community

  • Parents are invited to sit in on classes before their child begins attending Bumblebee Preschool so that they can fully understand what goes on and be certain about their choice of preschool. Parents are always welcome to be involved with the school and any of its programs or to be on the board.
  • Each class has two "class parents," whose role is to ensure a constant flow of communication between teachers and parents.

Rave Reviews

"Lisa, Chris and Tania have all taught children with various individual needs, whether social, emotional, moral, physical or intellectual. They handle each need sensitively and appropriately, while modelling this approach for the other children in the class." Parent

"We could not have imagined our children's introduction to school to be more perfect." Parent
