- Recognizes: a teacher with a broad, extended contribution to science education in Alberta over 10 years or more. Contributions may have been in curriculum development, in service classroom teaching or leadership in a broad context.

- Recognizes: excellence in classroom teaching in Alberta, specifically contributions to science teaching through articles, workshops, curriculum development or other forms of professional development

B.C. Science Teachers' Awards
- Administered by: The B.C.Teachers' Association
- Recognizes outstanding science teachers and their contributions to the teaching of science.
- The Award: a framed picture (may change from year to year)
- Distinguished Service Award - for contribution to, and leadership in science activities outside the classroom.
- Science Education Award - for successful classroom teachers who demonstrate outstanding performance in creating science teaching materials, in developing programs for the improvement of science education, or in stimulating interest in science.
- Science Service Award - for outstanding work that contributes to the goals of Science education (individuals whose contributions are outside of the classroom are eligible for this award.)

John Mazurek Memorial - The Morgex Insurance Group Ltd Scholarship

OPSBA Fred L. Bartlett Memorial Award
- Administered by: Ontario Public School Boards' Association
- Recognizes: outstanding contribution to education throughout Ontario through constructive participation in education affairs over a number of years or for work on some recent and specific project which has had provincial impact.
- The Award: large trophy, bearing shields, with the names of the successful candidates, which remains in the OPSBA office. Each winner will receive a smaller replica of the trophy.

OTIP Teaching Awards
- Administered by: The Ontario Teachers' Federation and funded by the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan
- The Ontario Teachers' Federation and the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan present three awards to outstanding teachers each year, two in the categories of elementary and secondary education and one to a beginning teacher.
- Recognizes:
- Teacher's who use innovative teaching methods, design creative programs and develop exciting learning experiences for Ontario students;
- make a difference in students' lives by engaging them in the process of learning and create enthusiasm for learning by raising their sights, broadening their horizons and enhancing their learning potential;
- demonstrate understanding and integration of community diversity into classroom practices;
- encourage the sharing of community and individual resources in the schools of our province;
- and demonstrate a personal commitment to personal lifelong learning.
- The Award: $1,000 and a special certificate. The teacher's school receives the same award package. The award recipients will come to Toronto for the awards ceremony

The Science Teacher's Association of Manitoba's Science Teacher of the Year Award
- Administered by: The Science Teacher's Association, Manitoba
- Recognizes teachers who have introduced innovative programs in Science
