Alfred von Hollen
Alfred von Hollen is a grade 7 and 8 science teacher at Pioneer School in Rocky Mountain House. Mr. von Hollen is responsible for the Science Alive course which takes a hands-on approach to the teaching of life sciences. His unique classroom features a zoo with over 150 different birds and animals, which students study and help care for. Mr. von Hollen uses every incident in the classroom, including the birth or death of an animal, as a learning experience.
