Michael Philbin
A valuable lesson that Grade 7 and 8 students learn in Michael Philbin's science class at École Publique Héritage in North Bay, Ontario is that there are plenty of things to study in the world around them without needing access to fancy equipment and lab animals. Several of Mr. Philbin's students have won awards at regional science fairs by studying the fish populations of local lakes or by looking at the acoustical properties of the school gym.
