Teaching Approach:
- Integrate opportunities for students to develop time-management and problem-solving skills into class projects. These are essential in school and in life.
- Give students at least two chances to practice a new skill before expecting them to master it.
- Encourage students to motivate themselves by ensuring they understand that a project simulates a real-life situation and that the finished product will get some publicity or exposure.
Outstanding Achievements:
Through Mr. Lamarche's programs, students have completed many media projects, including Flip Flop, a Radio-Canada television show, advertisements for major companies, radio programs and documentary videos.
His "Le conte pour enfants" project sees Grade 10 students work with elementary students to write children's stories and then publish them and record them on cassette.
Coordinates many school competitions (public speaking, essay, visual arts) in which many students participate.
Founded the school's Club Octogone, a branch of the Optimist Club.
