Teaching Approach:
- I've always had the belief that if students are given an opportunity and shown the skills, they can succeed. I am there to give them guidance but the students take the initiative and move on from there.
- Each leadership class begins with a two-day retreat at a nearby wilderness camp. This secluded environment differs in that it allows students to focus on concepts presented to them without outside distractions.
Outstanding Achievements:
- Took over and completely transformed the D. P. Todd leadership courses. His students and the program have won numerous leadership awards including the Beyond Mars Leadership Cup, the Heart and Stroke Outstanding Achievement Award and the Advantage Leadership Award.
- A full 100 percent of his students are involved in volunteer activities in the school and community.
