Teaching Approach

  • Uses a mixture of teaching methods that enables students to expand their knowledge of several subjects at the same time and improve their cross-curricula skills.
  • In addition to pushing the boundaries of the teaching opportunities offered by the Internet, email and other ICTs, helps students develop their skill set by giving them hands-on opportunities to discover photography and film-making.

Outstanding Achievements

  • Helps her students produce their own "cinema engagé"works. In 2005, the National Film Board included one of the students' films, Il était une fois un arbre, in a compilation of professional and semiprofessional films, and it was also on the program at a number of film festivals, including the Aubagne Film Festival in France.
  • With her students, organizes a trip that will take them to New York in 2008. The students handle all aspects of this multidisciplinary project: setting the itinerary, calculating costs, preparing information packages about geographic and historic background, organizing sessions to learn English.

Rave Reviews

"… Ms. Bundock] has a sense of adventure in her teaching and is committed to research, and refuses to count the hours and effort she puts into it; she revels in taking nothing for granted and staying on the cutting edge of knowledge, and it is all these things that make her an exceptional teacher." Former Principal

"One of Edith's greatest qualities is her ability to prepare Grade 6 students for entering secondary school. Her organization and teaching methods motivate young people to exhibit autonomy and develop a sense of responsibility, two of the most important assets for academic success." Colleague and Friend
