Electronic presentations

PowerPoint Presentation—Corporate

Design grids for corporate electronic presentations allow for unilingual products at 10" x 7.5". The grids presented here are not to scale.

When displaying electronic presentations on screen, they must include a closing slide that consists of the "Canada" wordmark in white, with the flag symbol over the final "a" in red, on a black background. The content slide design presented here is a recommended design element — use it where feasible.

Integrated in the upper-left corner of the title slide within the designated white space is the Industry Canada Federal Identity Program signature in 10-point font, with a 50-mm width (in accordance with Industry Canada's FIP Specifications).

The brand banner is of consistent design and proportion. The width of the highlighted area for headlines and titles (title bar) may be expanded or contracted as necessary, as long as the minimum and maximum widths indicated on each grid are respected. For minimum and maximum widths, see Title Bar Specifications. The brand banner must feature the tri-square graphic in outline form at the right.

The primary colour palette, with Pantone 3025 as the main colour, is used in all corporate communications.

The tri-square graphic appears in its recommended form in the main image and text design area in the title slide. Within this space, its position and size may be varied.

The "Canada" wordmark is located in the lower-right corner of the title slide within the designated white space at 30-mm width (in accordance with Industry Canada's FIP Specifications).

PowerPoint Presentation—Sector/Program/Branch

Design grids for sector/program/branch electronic presentations allow for unilingual products at 10" x 7.5". The grids presented here are not to scale.

When displaying electronic presentations on screen, they must include a closing slide that consists of the "Canada" wordmark in white, with the flag symbol over the final "a" in red, on a black background. The content slide design presented here is a recommended design element — use it where feasible.

Integrated in the upper-left corner of the title slide within the designated white space is the Industry Canada FIP signature or other appropriate FIP signature in 10-point font (in accordance with Industry Canada's FIP Specifications). See the FIP Procedures in the Publishing Toolbox for more information on which FIP signature to use.

Various colour combinations from the secondary colour palette may be used in sector/program/branch communications.

The tri-square graphic may be adapted from its recommended form in the main image and text design area in the title slide. The shapes may be used as a flexible graphic element or for photo treatments.

The "Canada" wordmark is located in the lower-right corner of the title slide within the designated white space at 30-mm width (in accordance with Industry Canada's FIP Specifications).

PowerPoint presentation samples

The following examples demonstrate possible applications of the Industry Canada corporate look to electronic presentations.

Corporate and sector/program/branch examples are demonstrated for each sample presentation. Pantone 3025 is the main colour in corporate communications. Colours from the secondary palette may be used for sector/program/branch communications.

The tri-square graphic appears in its recommended form in corporate communications, but the shapes may be adapted for use as a flexible graphic element or for photo treatments in other communications.

Always show electronic presentations in two unilingual versions (one English and one French), projected side by side. Ensure that presentations are legible when projected on a screen or other backgrounds. Use rich, dark background colours from the colour palette; white for cover text; and warm, contrasting colours for titles, charts and graphics. Keep the text simple.
