Print material specifications

Use the following tables to obtain size and positioning specifications for applying the Department's corporate symbols to commonly produced print formats. From these tables, you can also view examples and download layout templates.

Applications of Industry Canada's Corporate Look have been developed in accordance with these specifications for size and placement of Federal Identity Program (FIP) signatures and the "Canada" wordmark on departmental communications.

When producing print materials in formats other than those outlined below, use the information presented here as a basis from which to work, and contact Communications and Marketing Branch for advice.

These specifications differ according to which symbols you are using. Select the option that applies to your situation:

Industry Canada FIP signature and "Canada" wordmark

The following are the recommended configurations for the Industry Canada FIP signature and "Canada" wordmark on print materials:

  • FIP signature in upper left corner and wordmark in lower right corner (optimal configuration)

  • FIP signature in upper left corner and wordmark in upper right corner

Notes

1. When using the optional Industry Canada compound FIP signature (i.e. the name of a sector, program, branch or initiative in conjunction with the Industry Canada FIP signature), use the point sizes listed below as a guide and contact Communications and Marketing Branch for advice. When creating a compound FIP signature, see the design guidelines in the Federal Identity Program Manual.

2. When applying a departmental unique identifier in addition to the Industry Canada FIP signature and the "Canada" wordmark, ensure that the unique identifier is less prominent than the signature and wordmark.
