ELAZDI 3.0
Use this link to download ELAZDI: a 32-bit Microsoft Windows application that Industry Canada inspectors use to calculate station parameters relative to their geographical locations. For example, these parameters include distance, azimuth and elevation angles between two stations, as well as their distance to the U.S. border.
Note: Please uninstall any previous version of ELAZDI prior to an installation or reinstallation.- elazdi_E3_0.msi (installation file .msi, 399 KB)
What's new in version 3.0?
- ELAZDI is now installed via an installation file and registered in the list of Windows applications. Therefore, it can be now uninstalled using the "Add / Remove programs" option in Windows.
- ELAZDI is now a 32-bit application. This means it is fully compatible with Windows 7 without the need to install the XP mode module to run 16-bit applications.
- The online help is now compiled in HTML Help since the WinHelp program is not included in Windows 7.
- To print, the user can now select the printer along with the print properties.
- The note in the help message which made a reference to article 27 now refers to the more recent article 21.
- The free space loss is now displayed relative to isotropic and dipole references independently of the frequency.
- The calculations for the critical azimuth are now performed according to the conditions below in Table 21-1 from Article 21 from ITU Radiocommunication Regulations only for frequencies in the frequency bands below.
| Frequency band (GHz) | E.I.R.P. value (dBW) (see also Nos. 21.2 and 21.4) |
Minimum separation angle with respect to geostationary-satellite orbit (degrees) |
|---|---|---|
| 1-10 | +35 | 2 |
| 10-15 | +45 | 1.5 |
| 25.25-27.5 | +24(in any 1 MHz band) | 1.5 |
| Other bands above 15 GHz | +55 | No limit |
