The purpose of this notice is to advise all interested parties of the availability of a paper entitled Review of the Comparative Selection and Radio Licensing Process – Findings. In the report, the Department summarizes the interventions received and presents the findings resulting from its consideration of the public's response to Canada Gazette Notice No. SMRR-001-94 and the associated information paper, entitled Public Review of the Comparative Selection and Radio Licensing Process. It also includes a discussion of an alternative competitive bidding selection process.

The paper concludes with specific aspects of the Department's intentions that require further exploration and discussion. Industry Canada recognizes the importance of obtaining public input to the further development of this new process and invites comment on the outstanding issues.
