Notice No. DGRB-003-97Consultation on Issues Related to Spectrum Auctioning

The purpose of this notice is to advise all interested parties of the availability of a paper entitled Consultation on Issues Related to Spectrum Auctioning. In this paper, the Department discusses a number of fundamental issues related to the introduction of spectrum auctions in Canada.

Spectrum auctioning offers the possibility of realizing significant gains for Canadian businesses, consumers, and taxpayers alike. Through thorough public consultation, the Department is confident that spectrum auctions can be introduced in a manner that ensures Canadians derive the maximum possible benefits from their spectrum resource.
