Notice No. SMSE-007-96 — Canadian Industry Guidelines for 800 Toll Free Service

Notice is hereby given that the Technical Subcommittee of the Canadian Interconnection Liaison Committee (CILC) is releasing the document titled Canadian Industry Guidelines for 800 Toll Free Service, CIG-800, Release 2, dated June 21, 1996. This document supersedes the one titled Canadian Participation in 800 Number Portability — Canadian Industry Guidelines, CIG-800, Release 1.1, dated July 14, 1994, and its amendment No. 1 dated February 9, 1995. Release 2 includes provisions for the implementation of all toll free service access codes (e.g., 800, 888, 877) and industry guidelines for multicarrier selection capability.

2nd Floor, Ottawa, and at the regional offices of Industry Canada in Moncton, Montréal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver for a period of one year from the date of receipt of those comments.
