Notice No. SMSE-013-99 — Amendment Nº 3 to Certification Specification CS-03, Issue 8

Notice is hereby given that Industry Canada is releasing Amendment 3 to Certification Specification 03 (CS-03), Issue 8, dated November 27, 1999. This amendment refers to the addition of Part VIII,"Requirements and Test Methods for Digital Subscriber Line (XDSL) Terminal Equipment". This amendment will become effective on January 26, 2000. The Technical Specifications List previously published on March 27, 1999 will be modified to reflect this amendment by removing the PROV-ADSL specification from the list, as these requirements have been superseded by Part VIII of CS-03. Certificates granted based on PROV-ADSL will remain valid.

Interested parties may submit comments or questions concerning this amendment to the Chairman of the Terminal Attachment Programme Advisory Committee (TAPAC), 300 Slater Street, Suite 1302A, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0C8, or at the Internet address kwan.andy@ic.gc.ca within 60 days of the date of publication of this Notice. All representations must cite the Canada Gazette, Part I, notice publication date, title, and reference number.

All written comments received in response to this notice will be available for public viewing during normal business hours at the Industry Canada Library, West Tower, 3rd Floor, 235 Queen Street, Ottawa, Ontario, and at the regional offices of Industry Canada in Moncton, Montréal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver for a period of one year from the date of receipt of those comments.
