Notice No. SMBR-003-05 — Adoption of Amendment to the FM Multiplex Subcarrier Standards

Notice is hereby given that Industry Canada is publishing Issue 4 of Broadcasting Procedures and Rules Part 3, Application Procedures and Rules for FM Broadcasting Undertakings (BPR-3) and Issue 2 of Broadcasting Equipment Technical Standards 6, Technical Standards and Requirements for FM Broadcasting Transmitters (BETS-6).

This follows Notice no. SMBR-003-04 which enabled the deployment of additional subcarrier services by making the multiplex subcarrier standard more flexible.

BPR-3 and BETS-6 have been amended to increase to 20% the restriction on the percentage of modulation below 76 kHz.
