Notice No. SMSE-003-04 - Amendment No. 7 to CS-03, Issue 8
Notice is hereby given that Industry Canada is releasing Amendment 7 to Issue 8 of Compliance Specification 03, Part VIII: Requirements and Test Methods for Digital Subscriber Line (xDSL) Terminal Equipment.
Amendment 7 adds the following requirements to Part VIII of CS-03: Power Spectral Density and Total Power requirements for ADSL2 (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line 2), ADSL2+, READSL (Reach Extended ADSL) and Enhanced SHDSL (Single Pair High Speed DSL). The added requirements are the same as those given in ITU-T Recommendations G.992.3, Annexes I, J and L (for ADSL2 and READSL); G.992.5, Annexes A, I and J (for ADSL2+); and G.991.2, Annex F (for SHDSL). This amendment will come into effect upon publication of this notice.
Interested parties should submit their comments within 75 days of the date of publication of this notice. Shortly after the close of the comment period, all comments received will be posted on Industry Canada's Spectrum Management and Telecommunications Web site at: http://www.ic.gc.ca/spectrum.
Respondents are requested to provide their comments in electronic format (WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF or ASCII TXT) to the following email address: email@example.com along with a note specifying the software, version number and operating system used.
Written submissions should be addressed to the Chairman of the Terminal Attachment Programme Advisory Committee (TAPAC), 300 Slater Street, Ottawa, Ontario, KIA 0C8. All submissions should cite the Canada Gazette, Part I, publication date, the title, and the notice reference number (SMSE-003-04).
