The United States recently modified its technical rules to express power limits in a technologically neutral manner for the bands 1910-1915/1990-1995 MHz and 1710-1755/2110-2155 MHz. Details can be found at http://wireless.fcc.gov/services/index.htm?job=service_releases&id=aws.
Interested parties should note that Industry Canada intends to update its rules in a similar fashion in accordance with the recommendation received from the Radio Advisory Board of Canada. The Board's contact information can be found at http://www.rabc-cccr.ca/home.cfm.
