Following the close of the above-mentioned consultation on January 22, 2008, Industry Canada will include a two-week reply comment period in order to permit interested parties to respond to the comments received. Please note that the reply comments are to pertain only to the subject matter of Gazette Notice DGRB-010-07 and the comments received thereto.

As a result of the addition of the reply comment period, the deadline for applications to participate in the Auction for Spectrum Licences for Advanced Wireless Services and other Spectrum in the 2 GHz Range will be extended to March 10, 2008. The publication of the list of applicants will take place on March 14, with the list of qualified bidders to be published on March 31. The auction will proceed as planned on May 27, 2008.

Interested parties are invited to submit reply comments no later than February 7, 2008.

As outlined in the consultation document, comments should be submitted in electronic format (WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF or ASCII TXT) to the following email address: aws@ic.gc.ca, with a note specifying the software, version number and operating system used.
