Telecommunications and Radiocommunication Acts

Notice No. SMSE-005-08 - New Issue of Telecommunications Regulation Circular TRC-49

Notice is hereby given that Industry Canada is releasing a new issue of TRC-49: Telecommunications and Radio Equipment Service Fees of the Certification and Engineering Bureau (formerly known as Information on the Application of the Telecommunications Apparatus Technical Assessment and Testing Fees Order Made under the Financial Administration Act).

Changes in the new issue include:

  1. title for document TRC-49;
  2. updated fee structure from the Telecommunications and Radio Apparatus Fee Order;
  3. replacement of the Processing Flow Chart in Attachment I with Table of Fee Scenarios;
  4. removal of Attachment II, Industry and Science Canada Offices;
  5. addition of Section 1.1, Public Inquiries with updated contact information; and
  6. addition of Section 2, Related Documents.

This issue will come into effect upon publication of this notice.

Interested parties should submit their comments within 75 days of the date of publication of this notice. Shortly after the close of the comment period, all comments received will be posted on Industry Canada's Spectrum Management and Telecommunications website at: http://www.ic.gc.ca/spectrum.

Respondents are requested to provide their comments in electronic format (WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF or ASCII TXT) to the following e-mail address: telecom.reg@ic.gc.ca, along with a note specifying the software, version number and operating system used.

Written submissions should be addressed to the Deputy Director, Telecommunications Engineering and Certification, Industry Canada, 300 Slater Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0C8.

All submissions should cite the Canada Gazette, Part I, the publication date, the title, and the notice reference number (SMSE-005-08).
