The results of each round of the auction will be made available to bidders and the general public. In addition to these ready to view round results, the Auction Management System (AMS) provides data files which may be used by clients for individual analysis. The Round Results Files - Definitions and Formats describes the format for the round result files which are generated by the AMS.
The sample round results contain data files of the Two Phase Residual Licence Auction in the 2300 MHz and 3500 MHz Frequency Bands. It should be noted that file names generated from the Residual Auction (ex. 4_001e.txt) will differ from those generated during the upcoming Advanced Wireless Services Auction (ex. 5_001e.txt). In addition, licences used for the Residual Auction were based on Tier 4 service areas, whereas Tier 2 and Tier 3 service areas are used for the Advanced Wireless Services Auction.
Round Results Files - Definitions and Formats
As outlined in Section 5.9 of the AWS Licensing Framework, the results of each round of the auction will be made available to bidders and the general public via the Department's Web site.
In addition to these ready to view round results, the Auction Management System (AMS) provides datafiles which may be used by clients for individual analysis. This section describes the format for theround result files which are generated by the AMS.
The results files are available in both DBF and TXT formats.
The filename names are of the format Y_XXXT.DBF and Y_XXXT.TXT.
Y denotes the auction number. The auction number for the Auction for Spectrum Licences for Advanced Wireless Services and other Spectrum in the 2 GHz Range is 5.
X denotes the round number (from 1 to 999).
T denotes the type of output file and will be equal to E, W, H, or S. The list below describes the different types.
Bidder Account Number has the same meaning as Bidder Identification Number.
Market Identifier has the same meaning as Service Area Number.
