Gazette Notice DGRB-009-09 – Extension to the Comment Period: Consultation on the Renewal of Cellular and Personal Communications Services (PCS) Spectrum Licences

The above-noted consultation was published in the Canada Gazette on Saturday, March 28, 2009, as Notice DGRB-002-09. The deadline for the receipt of comments was indicated as April 30, 2009 while the deadline for receipt of reply comments was June 1, 2009.

The purpose of this Notice is to advise all interested parties that, based on the merits of a request for additional time by the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA), the deadline for the receipt of comments has been extended to May 29, 2009. The reply comment period has also been extended to June 30, 2009. All comments received will be posted on Industry Canada's Spectrum Management and Telecommunications Web site at http://www.ic.gc.ca/spectrum.
