This notice serves as a supplement to Section 5.5.1 (Financial Deposit) of the Licensing Framework for the Auction of Residual Spectrum Licences in the 2300 MHz and 3500 MHz Bands. The Department will also accept deposits in the form of a certified cheque or bank draft. However, in the event a qualified bidder does not become a provisional licence winner or chooses to withdraw from the round, the refund of a financial deposit that was submitted as a certified cheque or bank draft will likely take longer (perhaps several weeks longer) than a refund submitted by way of a letter of credit.
