Award-winning skills development programs — created through collaborative industry efforts — are used extensively in plants and other facilities to ensure Canada's textile industry workforce remains up-to-date and at the leading edge of workforce learning.
- The Textiles Human Resources Council (THRC)
Created in 1994, actively seeks to ensure that textile workers acquire world-class skills. With the conviction that the best human resource skills and practices are essential to the attainment of world-class excellence by the Canadian textile industry, the mission of the THRC is to identify and foster the development and introduction of such skills and practices through the joint efforts of employees and employers. THRC is dedicated to upgrading essential skills; providing technical training; developing a training culture within the industry; and promoting a better understanding of the textiles industry. - Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC)
Provides an integrated approach to Canada's investment in human capital.
