Evaluation Frameworks and Reports
The TRM initiative is an important component of how Industry Canada interacts with industry, academic institutions, research organization and other governments. It is therefore critical to develop and implement a mechanism to monitor how well the initiative is achieving its intended results. A framework, Evaluating Technology Roadmaps, is designed to complement the Technology Roadmapping in Canada: A Development Guide (PDF, 611 KB, 44 pages), and is an essential tool for Canadian industry to better gauge how they can technologically prepare themselves to compete in a global and innovative marketplace. The framework and accompanying evaluations determine the value industry participants place on TRMs, the fulfillment of their expectations, and their level of commitment to the TRM.
