Firms that protect their intellectual property (IP) are more likely to increase their profits than those which do not. SMEs that patent their invention have a stronger tendency to become high-growth firms and to export. The global patent filing in the space sector has consistently grown over the last 40 years, according to the report Patents in Space recently released by the Canadian Intellectual property Office (CIPO).

Join this interactive in-person seminar co-presented by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) and CIPO experts to enhance your knowledge on: IP Foundation, IP Strategy & Commercialization as well as IP in Crown Procurement Contracts and connect with other industry businesses.

Space is limited and registration is mandatory—register early to reserve your spot. Registration closes at 5 p.m. on September 10.

Please note that priority will be given to SMEs in the space sector. A waiting list will be created for SMEs from other related industrial sectors who wish to participate.

Although the session is presented in English, participants can communicate in their preferred official language (English or French).
