Luc Péloquin, Ph.D is an executive manager with more than 35 years of experience in the area of molecular biology R&D and 10 years in Biotechnology Business Management. He has a proven track record in product development, science management, intellectual property and communications and business development in North American and European markets. He is the author of 25 papers in peer review journals and more than 200 communications in international meetings including 50 as invited speaker.
Luc obtained his Ph.D in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Montreal. After postdoctoral research at the Institute Armand-Frappier in Laval QC and at the Biotechnology Research Institute (CNRC) in Montreal, he became the President of Qbiogene, Canadian branch from 1995 to 2002. He has been active in business development, business and technology due diligence and IP for venture capital, biotechnology and bio-pharma industries from 1995 to 2006.
In 2006, Luc joined NRC-IRAP as an Industrial Technology Advisor and as an Industrial Project Manager for the National Research Council, Biotechnology Research Institute on a 6 month temporary secondment in 2012.
Luc always been very active in different areas of the bioscience business, acting as a board member for two Quebec based incubators: Agbiocentre in Levis and the CQIB in Laval. He also been a consultant for many SME financing venture organizations and has held many academic functions. He has been an assessor for different support program for the SMEs for NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada), PWGSC (Public Works and Government Services Canada), WINN (Western Innovation Initiative) and the Quebec education ministry.
Luc provides expert guidance in many areas of business such as corporate management, intellectual property, financing, product development and international affairs.
