Problem
How can we unlock the higher potential of Canada’s engineering profession to contribute to society?
Solution
Designed for possibilities. Multi-generational and inter-disciplinary teams co-created 10 pitches on how they can contribute to this goal.
What happened
Leaders from across the engineering community came together for a two day workshop with the Engineering Change Lab and Reos partners. With ISED’s Innovation Lab, they learned about Canada’s Inclusive Innovation Agenda and how it could be leveraged to support their goal. Discussions and ideation exercises were followed by a pitch session to explore how engineers could ensure their profession rises to its full potential through talent development and adopting a social innovation lens.
Partnering with the Innovation Lab to run our sixth workshop was a pleasure. From a delivery perspective, their space and staff’s expertise were a perfect fit for our needs. From an objectives perspective, it was wonderful to explore how the engineering community can better contribute to Canada’s Inclusive Innovation Agenda.
