Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub
The Government of Canada is funding the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub, a one-stop source of knowledge, data and best practices for women entrepreneurs.
Through a competitive process, the Government of Canada has awarded Ryerson University, located in Toronto, Ontario, up to $8.62 million over three years to establish the Hub. National in scope, WEKH will be made up of nine regional hubs, which will work together to coordinate activities in different regions. Each of the regional hubs brings its unique area of expertise and specialization to the Hub.
The Hubs activities will include:
- Collecting, analyzing, and disseminating information, and/or advancing research on women's entrepreneurship
- Supporting and sharing best practices and knowledge among women business support organizations
- A report on the progress of women entrepreneurs in Canada, including a measure or review of the entrepreneurship ecosystem supports for women in Canada
