Applicants interested in electronically filing international patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) can prepare files using ePCT, which is created and provided free of charge by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). ePCT is a web-based service that is updated automatically and therefore does not require user intervention to do so. Once you have prepared the e-filing package with the ePCT online service, you will need to visit CIPO's PCT e-filing page to submit the e-filing package.
For more information on WIPO's ePCT service program, visit PCT Electronic Services.
For more on CIPO's PCT e-filing service, visit Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) e-filing.
If you have questions on any of the above, please contact the Program Manager – International (PCT–PPH).
