CIPO CEO Johanne Bélisle ends five-year mandate.
From: Canadian Intellectual Property Office
Five years ago, I was appointed CEO of the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) by the Government of Canada. With that came the important responsibilities of Commissioner of Patents and Registrar of Trademarks. I have had the privilege to work with 1,000 dedicated professionals and experts at CIPO who provide businesses and innovators with quality IP rights so they can realize their dreams to create, innovate, grow and export. We are a key partner in Canada’s Innovation and Skills Plan. We implemented 5 international IP treaties in the past year, making Canada a full player in the global IP system. Leaving with innovative plans for my future!
