This report quantifies the sources of economic growth at the industrial level in Canada and the United States and assesses the relative competitiveness of American and Canadian industries. It compares the relative contribution of physical capital, labour and other inputs towards economic growth and productivity in each country and investigates how productivity levels contribute to the relative competitiveness of Canadian and U.S. industries.
