Multinational enterprises (MNEs) have been the principal actors in the globalization process, primarily through their foreign direct investment (FDI) decisions. As a result, investment policies, particularly as they relate to FDI and the regulation or MNE activity, are of considerable interest and importance in an international policy context. These volumes describe the international investment regimes in the G-7 countries, and how they work, accounting for economic structures and institutions.
