This study analyses the changing role of the multinational subsidiary in Canada by looking at the forms subsidiary initiatives take, and the factors associated with success. The secondary thrust of this research was to understand initiatives in their broader context: how initiatives develop and link over time in a single subsidiary. In addition, general questions were asked about the role of the Canadian government in initiative development.
