Economic Research and Policy Analysis Branch
This study focusses on regulatory and standard-related barriers to trade and examines the European approach in this area, with a view to inform and perhaps improve the Canadian initiatives. First, it reviews the program and institutions adopted by the European Union to remove regulatory barriers to trade and then analyses their relevance to Canadian attempts to promote freer movement of products and services across all provinces and territories.
