Strategic Policy Sector
Economic Research and Policy Analysis Branch
This study provides a descriptive analysis of a sample bachelor-level university graduates derived from "The Follow-Up of 1982 Graduates" database, with an emphasis on comparisons between Natural Science and Engineering (NSE) and Non‑NSE graduates, and between men and women. The unique nature of the data gives a perspective on the school-to-work transition which did not previously exist. This is especially useful for the evaluation of the Canada Scholarships Program, which encourages university graduates to enrol in engineering and the sciences.
